What is Insurance Rating Software?

Insurance Rating Software is computer software designed for use by Independent Insurance Agents (IIA) and Insurance Carriers (Property and Casualty Carriers P&C, Commercial Insurance Carriers, Health Insurance Carriers, etc).  Insurance Rating Software will accept as input and insurance risk and display as output an insurance premium for the risk.  Insurance rating software will apply carrier underwriting rules, surcharges and discounts on the insurance risk during rating.  Insurance rating software is useful to both Independent Insurance Agents and Insurance Carriers when assessing an insurance risk.
